Salon Peña Sign

Project Description

CHALLENGE
Salon Peña in Edmonds, WA wanted us to create a clean, contemporary and unique A-Frame Sign that “feels like a work of art.” Owner Lori Peña wanted her Logo Identity to have a very subtle, tone on tone look, that would give her salon entrance a mysterious, yet eye-catching focal point.

SOLUTION
After some conceptual drawings, and design approval, we fabricated a solid A-Frame sign that met the design intent exactly.  The face of the Salon Peña sign is made of dark matte chalkboard material, with a dark gloss vinyl application.  The effect worked as intended, so that when viewed from different angles, the logo disappears and reappears, creating a mysterious “optical illusion.”

RESULT
The client was extremely pleased with the final product, and within the first week, had attracted enough new clients with the new sign to pay for the entire project.
